In a few short weeks, I'll be flying to Denver, Colorado to showcase the yarns at a trunk show at Fancy Tiger Crafts. I first met the owners, Jaime & Amber, a couple of summers ago when they were in Portland teaching a workshop next door at A Gathering of Stitches. This was before I even knew about Cashmere People Yarns. I wasn't participating in the workshop, but I managed to sneak in at the end of my workday to see what folks were making. Introductions were made and what was a mere internet crush on two talented fiber biz women became an IRL hang sesh! I love when that happens.
I think maybe we had talked about a possible trunk show this past summer while attending The National Needle Arts Association trade show. And now it's happening!
I've never been out to Colorado, but I'm looking forward to the mini working vacation. The trunk show will be happening on Saturday, January 20th, from 3pm-7pm, post-Women's March. And it will be up on Sunday, too. I'll also be teaching a lil' class on drop spindle spinning that Sunday. Woot!
If you're in the Denver area and you have yet to touch this superb yarn, get your booties on over to Fancy Tiger Crafts!
