OSHOBA VILLAGE, TAJIKISTAN

I was born in 1983 in Oshoba village. I was a good student and studied at a high school in our village. But my father died early and I could not go to college. For that we needed money. When I was 20 years old, I was married to a man from Uzbekistan. In 2005, I had my first daughter, in 2007 my second daughter, and then a third daughter. I was unable to obtain a legal status in Uzbekistan and in 2017 I returned to Tajikistan. Now I live with my mother.

I went to the workshop right after my arrival and joined the spinning group. I was very happy to have found work. The money I receive from spinning I spend on schooling and clothing for my daughters. At the moment I receive $130 per month and this money is really helping me. My husband also sends money. But to support three children, money is always needed and now I have some. I am very grateful to those who helped to set up our spinning business. I hope our business will thrive each year.
